Finally out of the Workshop...

Well, it has been a busy couple of weeks; after the trip to the ER for Scott, he is doing well, he got the stitches removed today, 2-1/2 more weeks home and resting.
Next Friday it's my turn - I am finally going to have carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand.  It has been coming for a long time and now it's finally happening - can't say I am excited about it, but if it helps me feel better and be able to sew longer, it will be worth it!

Sales have been great since coming back from Houston Quilt Market and Festival - which equals many hours in the workshop; DH even installed a light in our shed so I can stain at night...lol!

We will be sending out a special Holiday Discount letter for the Easy Display Quilt Hanger this week,  so if anyone is wants to be added to our mailing list, please e-mail me your home or e-mail address and I will be sure to send you out a copy!
How is your holiday shopping, decorating, creating going?  I would love to hear your stories...stay tuned for mine!

Friday in the Workshop, Saturday on the couch!

Friday morning started out great - Scott was getting his checklist done  in the workshop, I was catching up with shipping, all was going well, until Scott came in and said, Honey, (I thought he was coming in for lunch), I looked up and saw it - his hand covered with a towel - I knew something happened.  Now, usually in our house, he is the calm one in emergencies, but when I saw it and the look on his face, somehow I just reacted and we went to the ER.

Here's the part where I spare the details - fastforward four hours and one re-attached fingertip (plus a complimentary tetnus shot), thanks to the wonderful ER docs at Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital and we were back at home, feeling a little like time just stopped and sucked all of our energy out.  Then came "happy Scott", aka, the pain meds are working!

Well, it's Saturday morning and Scott is sleeping, I think he needed it!  Next challenge: getting him to rest!  I'm sure there's a football game or two that can help!

Travels to Houston Market and Festival

Houston Quilt Market and Festival

Well, the Easy Display Quilt Hanger made it's debut at the Houston Quilt Market and Festival last month!  It was a long 12 nights and 13 days, but we made it and made some great contacts along the way.

Hightlights included meeting quilt world "rock stars", even though my husband didn't always know who they were and why I was so "gaga" over them!  Experiencing the market and watching the inner workings of the quilt world was just amazing and now we know what to expect at future markets!

Anyway, this is my first blog post and I will be sure to update and add pictures from our journey soon!
